Hi, I’m Gina Abney! I’m glad that you’re here!
A little about me: I am a Virtual Expert® for small business retailers, entrepreneurs, coaches & consultants, smack-dab in the middle of the midwest: Indianapolis, Indiana.
Outside of my virtual work, I am a wife and the custodial Grandmother of two energetic and rowdy young boys. They keep me young, but I may end up bald before they reach adolescence.
As a family, we love to escape to the beach a couple of times a year, and that’s one of the (many) reasons I decided to pursue a career as a Virtual Assistant. (Picture me, sitting on the beach under an umbrella, hammering out a structure for your online shopping cart).
I’ve spent most of my career as a Creative Specialist, working in the financial services industry for fortune 500 companies in the healthcare, life, medicare, vision, and workforce insurance industries.
When we got custody of our grandsons, I knew that I wanted to find a way to have more flexibility with my work schedule so I could spend more time raising and nurturing them. That’s when I started toying with the idea of starting my own business and offering virtual assistant services.
In the exercise of setting up my own website, I fell in love with the entire process. I enjoyed it so much that I developed a website for selling products for my husband’s side-hustle. It’s become a family affair!
I have a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Marketing Communications, International Business and Distribution Logistics, and an Associates Degree in Business Management from Indiana Vocational Technical College.
My goal here is actually very simple: I want to assist you with your online presence. I enjoy learning and am excited to learn about your business and explore ways that I can free you up to do the things you enjoy too.
